Kannapolis Engine Service was founded by Clyde L Poteat in 1970 in Kannapolis North Carolina, after retiring from the United States Navy for service as a See Bee. Paul Poteat, Clyde's son took control of the business in the late 1980's and has helped the business grow ever since. In 2004 we began warehousing for engine parts companies to help ensure that we have just about any engine part in stock to suit all of our customers needs.
Now that we are a third generation business we are making leaps and bounds bringing the business into the 21st century. Our machine shop is equiped with modern precision machines, to ensure that every engine is machined to factory specifications, so that we are confident our engines are the best in the industry.
Every engine that leaves our facility have been sim-tested to ensure the engines have proper compression, oil pressure, and oil flow. Our domestic engines have a 2yr warranty, foreign engines have a 1yr warranty.
